Space Solar Power is far less expensive than either batteries or peakers

Grid-scale energy storage doesn't solve for a lack of generation capacity - it also is far more expensive than gas-fired peaking power plants (which is generation). The example from Thunder Said Energy today is telling from last summer's heatwave in New England - it still costs 2-20x more to backstop the upper c5-10% of the load curve with grid-scale batteries than with gas peakers.
