Power Beaming Validation

After months of simulation and hardware development, this is the simulated and measured beam for Virtus Solis Technologies' third generation of wirelesspower transmission hardware. These results are for 100 meters distance between the transmitter and receiver. While 100 meters is a small fraction of the distance to orbit, it demonstrates efficient power transfer in the "far field". The far field is important, because beyond this distance, a beam behaves the same even as it travels farther, like from orbit.

This is an important validation for our simulations and hardware. It provides additional proof that space based solar power satellites can achieve the efficiencies required to economically move clean, firm, renewable power from orbit to earth.

We demonstrated this system live on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, and Friday, Oct 20, 2023.
